  • How to verify your identity to sell

You must verify your identity before you can list anything on PlayerBay. The application has six short steps, saves after each one, and asks for a photo of your ID and a selfie holding it. Our team reviews it, and once you’re approved you can start listing.

    Why we ask

Verification ties every shop to a real, adult person or registered company. It keeps scammers and banned sellers off the marketplace and lets buyers trust that a seller can be held to their sales.

Each person can verify only one account. If the same identity is already verified on another account, the application can’t be submitted.

    Before you start

    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • Have a passport, national ID card or driver’s license ready.
    • Selling for a company? Have its registration details ready, and the details and ID of its beneficial owner (UBO) if that isn’t you.

We can’t verify sellers from some countries. The rule applies to your nationality, your home country and your company’s country:

    The six steps

    1. Get started: choose whether you sell as an individual or a company, say whether you’re the company’s UBO, and accept the Terms of Service and the Seller Agreement.
    2. Your details: enter your name, date of birth, nationality and home address exactly as they appear on your ID.
    3. Company: companies only. Enter the company’s registration details and, if someone else is the UBO, their details.
    4. ID documents: upload the Front of ID, the Back of ID if your ID has details on the back, and a Selfie holding your ID. Photos must be JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each.
    5. Seller profile: tell us about your selling experience, the categories you plan to sell in, where your stock comes from and roughly how many listings you’ll post. Add a referral code if someone referred you.
    6. Review: check everything, then select Submit application.

Your progress is saved each time you select Continue, so you can stop and finish later on any device. An unfinished application is kept for 30 days after your last save.

    Start verification

    Taking good ID photos

    • Use good light, with no glare or shadows.
    • Show all four corners of the document. Don’t crop, edit or cover any part of it.
    • For the selfie, hold the ID next to your face so both are clearly visible.

Your documents are stored privately and only our verification team can see them. Once you’re approved, we delete the ID photos and the selfie. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

    After you submit

You can’t change the application while our team reviews it. Review usually takes 1–2 business days. You can follow its progress on your verification status page, and we email you when there’s a decision. There are three outcomes:

    • Approved: you can list offers straight away from your seller dashboard.
    • Update required: our team marks the fields to correct and may add a note. Open the application, fix those fields and select Resubmit application. Your other answers are kept.
    • Not approved: the decision is final for that application. If you think it’s a mistake, or your circumstances change, contact support. Our team can reopen the application.

No. Listing opens once your application is approved.

Countries where we can’t verify sellers aren’t offered in the country picker. See the list above.

No. Verification is done once per account.

  • Feedback and reviews

After an order completes, the buyer can leave a positive or negative review with an optional comment. Only account reviews can be changed, and only until the order completes. If the buyer never confirmed the order and hasn’t reviewed it when protection ends, it gets an automatic positive review. Our team hides a review only when it breaks the review rules, not because you disagree with it.

    How reviews work

    • Only the buyer of an order can review it, and only once the order is complete.
    • The buyer picks Positive or Negative and can add a comment.
    • A review for currency, items, keys, gift cards or top-ups is final once it’s sent.
    • A review for an account can be changed until the order completes, because account problems can show up later.
    • You get a notification when a buyer leaves a new review.
    • When the order was marked received automatically and protection ends, a positive review with no text is added if the buyer hasn’t left one. It’s marked as an auto-generated review.

    Where to see your feedback

Open Feedback in your seller dashboard. It shows your Total Reviews, Positive, Negative and Positive Rate, with every review under the Positive and Negative tabs.

Your positive rate is shown to buyers, and it’s part of your place in the Recommended order. See How offer ranking works.

    Avoiding negative reviews

    • Keep stock real. Check it often so you never sell what you can’t deliver.
    • Reply quickly to questions and order messages.
    • Stay patient and polite, even when the buyer isn’t.
    • Fix mistakes: offer a replacement or a refund when something goes wrong.
    • Set expectations. If you’ll be away, pause your listings or set a longer delivery time.

    When we hide a review

Our team hides a review that is:

    • fake, paid for or traded, including one offered in exchange for free items or a discount;
    • left by an account linked to the seller or to a competitor;
    • abusive, hateful or threatening, or a personal attack;
    • sharing personal information;
    • advertising or moving the trade off PlayerBay;
    • not about the order;
    • used to pressure you, for example “refund me or I keep this review”;
    • another negative review for a problem the buyer already reviewed;
    • left after the buyer broke an agreement you made in the order chat.

A hidden review no longer shows on your profile and doesn’t count toward your rating.

When we don’t hide a review

A review stays when it describes the buyer’s real experience, for example:

    • delivery was slow;
    • the product wasn’t what they expected;
    • the listing was unclear or wrong;
    • you replied slowly or unhelpfully;
    • there was a real problem, even if you refunded or replaced the order afterwards.

How to ask us to hide a review

    1. Open Feedback in your seller dashboard and go to the Negative tab.
    2. Under the review, select Ask staff to remove.
    3. Pick the rule the review breaks, add any details, and select Send request.

You can ask once per review, and about up to 3 reviews a day. Our team checks the review against the rules above and either hides it or keeps it; the review then shows Removed by staff or Staff kept this review. The buyer isn’t told who asked.

Never offer a buyer anything in exchange for changing a review, and never accept a demand for one. Both are against the rules. Report the demand to us instead.

Only for accounts, and only until the order completes. Reviews of every other order type are final once sent.

    No. Only buyers review sellers.

  • Where you can sell from

You can sell on PlayerBay from most countries. We can’t verify sellers from the countries listed below, or from Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea and Sevastopol. The check covers your nationality, the country you live in, and your company’s country if you sell as a company.

Countries we can’t accept sellers from

These countries don’t appear in the country pickers of the verification application. If one of your details matches a restricted country, the application can’t be submitted.

Regions we can’t accept sellers from

We also can’t accept sellers from Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea or Sevastopol. Our team checks your ID and address for these regions during verification.

    What the check covers

    • Your nationality.
    • The country of your home address.
    • Your company’s country, if you sell as a company.

If your country isn’t listed, you can apply as long as you meet the other requirements, such as being at least 18 years old.

    Start verification

Yes, once your home address is in a country we accept. Your nationality must also not be on the list.

Both countries are checked. Neither can be on the list.

  • Seller rules

Sell only what you can deliver, deliver it before the guaranteed time, and keep every message and payment on PlayerBay. Answer problems and disputes within the time set for your product type. Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, paused listings, held payouts or a ban.

These rules apply to every category. Each category also has its own rules: accounts, items, currency and top-ups.

    Who can sell

    • You must be at least 18.
    • You must complete seller verification before you list. See Seller verification.
    • Use one seller account. Your ID can only be used to verify one account. If you work with a team, share access to that account instead of opening more.
    • You can’t sell from a restricted country. See Where you can sell from.

    Delivering orders

    • Deliver before the guaranteed delivery time shown on your listing.
    • Deliver exactly what was ordered: the right item, amount, server and buyer details.
    • Select Mark as Delivered only when the order is complete. Marking it early can cost you the dispute.
    • If you’ll be late or can only deliver part of the order, tell the buyer in the order chat first and get their agreement there.
    • Keep proof. Send screenshots or a video of the trade in the order chat.

If the guaranteed time passes, you haven’t delivered and you haven’t written in the order chat, the buyer can cancel the order and get a refund.

If you can’t deliver at all, select Cancel this order on the order page. The buyer is refunded to their PlayerBay wallet straight away. Pick the reason from the list. Every cancellation counts toward your record, and too many can lead to a warning. The order chat closes 3 days after a cancellation.

    Keep everything on PlayerBay

    • Talk to buyers only in PlayerBay chat. Don’t share or ask for Discord, Telegram, email, phone numbers or other contact details.
    • Take every payment through PlayerBay. Never ask for or arrange a payment anywhere else, and never ask for more than the listed price.
    • Don’t advertise other websites, shops or marketplaces.
    • If a delivery needs the buyer’s login, the buyer enters it at checkout, where it’s sealed. Don’t ask for it in chat.

When a message looks like off-platform contact, the chat warns the sender and our team is alerted. Links to other websites are removed from listing descriptions when you save.

    Problems and disputes

For instant-delivery accounts and gift cards, the buyer contacts you first: fix it, refund them or send a replacement before your deadline. For everything else the buyer can raise a dispute straight away. Either way, reply in the order chat or upload your proof before the deadline:

If it isn’t fixed or answered in time, our team decides on what’s in the order. See Disputes for sellers.

    Listings

    • List each offer in the right game and category.
    • Describe exactly what the buyer gets. Disclose every limitation, restriction or known issue.
    • No random, mystery or chance-based offers, such as “50% chance of a rare skin”.
    • Write your own description. Don’t copy another seller’s.
    • No fake or misleading prices.
    • Use only images you own or have permission to use.
    • Use tags that describe the offer. See Listing tags and search rules.
    • Don’t impersonate another seller or PlayerBay staff. Don’t use the PlayerBay name or logo in your username, shop or listings.

    Conduct

    • No scams, fraud or stolen goods. This leads to a permanent ban.
    • Treat buyers with respect, even during a dispute. No threats, insults or harassment.
    • Don’t attack, mislead or target other sellers.
    • Take buyer feedback seriously. See Feedback and reviews.

What happens if you break the rules

Our team reviews reports, orders and listings. What we do depends on how serious the problem is, your history and whether it was deliberate.

    Action What it means
Warning We email you the problem, such as late deliveries, too many cancellations or disputes, listing violations or off-platform contact.
Listing flagged We ask you to fix a listing, or remove it, and tell you why.
Listing paused We take a listing off sale. You can’t turn it back on yourself.
Payout hold Your withdrawals wait while we look into a problem. Your balance isn’t changed.
Ban You’re signed out everywhere and can’t buy or sell. Your listings come down.

Scams, fraud and off-platform payments can lead straight to a ban. If we suspect fraud, payouts are held while we investigate, and buyers are repaid first.

Asking a buyer to pay outside PlayerBay can get your account banned on the first offense. Payments made outside PlayerBay aren’t covered by buyer protection.

Yes. Contact us through the Contact page and tell us which account and decision it’s about. We’ll review it.

Once you’ve written in the order chat, the buyer can’t cancel the overdue order straight away. They can contact you with Order was not received, which gives you your usual time to deliver. If nothing arrives by then, they can cancel for a refund. Keep any agreement in the order chat.

    Contact us
  • Top-up and subscription rules

Sell top-ups only from official or authorized sources, and deliver exactly the amount or plan your listing names. Send proof after every order, because top-up disputes are decided on it. Many top-up games need an extra review by our team before you sell them.

These rules add to the seller rules, which apply to every category.

    Who can sell top-ups

You must be a verified seller. Top-ups need fast, exact delivery, so our team reviews who sells them, looking at your sales history and feedback. Many top-up games are also on the list of categories that need approval.

    What you can sell

    • Premium in-game currency such as diamonds, V-Bucks, Robux, credits or coins.
    • Battle passes, bundles, skins, upgrades and other in-game purchases.
    • Subscriptions and gift top-ups for apps and platforms in the Top-Ups category.

Everything must be bought through official or authorized channels and delivered with the delivery method on your listing.

    What isn’t allowed

    • Accounts of any kind, including shared, family, pre-leveled or throwaway accounts used to deliver a top-up.
    • Subscriptions sold as a longer plan than they are, such as a renewable 1-month plan listed as 3, 6 or 12 months.
    • Trials or limited plans listed as full products.
    • Top-ups from unauthorized resellers, bots, exploits or unofficial methods.
    • Top-ups paid with stolen cards or any unauthorized payment method.

    Setting up the listing

    • Amount: pick the top-up amount from the list. The title is created for you.
    • Delivery method: choose how you deliver, such as by account ID or a game pass. The methods offered depend on the game.
    • Delivery details: the buyer enters what you need at checkout, such as their user ID or character name. If your method needs the buyer’s login, it’s sealed at checkout. Don’t ask for it in chat.
    • Description: state the quantity, platform, region and anything the buyer must do.

For Roblox game pass orders, checkout tells the buyer that the transfer takes 5 days and that Roblox keeps a 30% fee, which the seller doesn’t cover.

    Proof of delivery

Send proof in the order chat after every order. Missing or unclear proof means a dispute is likely to go to the buyer.

    Proof What it shows
Game or platform screenshot The buyer’s user ID or account ID, and the new balance, delivered amount or upgrade.
Receipt The official confirmation from the game, platform or authorized seller.
Manual top-up confirmation The buyer’s ID together with the payment confirmation.

    Handling orders

    • Deliver before the guaranteed delivery time.
    • Keep records of every transaction.
    • Respond quickly if the buyer raises a problem or a dispute.

Disputes on top-ups have a short response time:

    When you’re paid

Earnings from a top-up order become available when its buyer protection ends, counted from when the order completes:

See When your earnings become available. For seller fees on top-ups, see Fees.

What happens if you break these rules

Problem What our team can do
Misleading listings or offers outside PlayerBay Warn you and pause your listings. A second offense can lead to a ban.
Unauthorized top-up sources Ban your account on the first offense.
Fraud, harassment or stolen payment methods Ban your account and hold your payouts while buyers are repaid.
Missing or false proof Decide the dispute for the buyer, hold your payouts or pause your listings.
  • Item listing rules

Item listings must say exactly which item, how many and on which platform, server or region the buyer gets. Use only images that show the real item, keep your stock accurate, and deliver the full order before the guaranteed time. Our team reviews item listings and removes ones that break these rules.

These rules add to the seller rules, which apply to every category.

    What you can sell

Digital in-game items you own or control and can transfer to the buyer:

    • Skins and cosmetics: outfits, weapon skins, emotes, wraps.
    • Equipment: weapons, armor, gear, pets, mounts, tools.
    • Materials and resources for crafting or upgrades.
    • Consumables such as boosts, potions, crates or packs, when the contents are stated.
    • Rare and limited items, with their exact name, rarity, edition and quantity.

    What isn’t allowed

    • Random, mystery or lottery-style offers, and bundles with contents that aren’t guaranteed.
    • Physical goods.
    • Items that can’t be transferred to the buyer.
    • Items you don’t have or can’t deliver.
    • Fake screenshots or images of items that aren’t part of the order.
    • Offers that need contact, payment or delivery outside PlayerBay.

    Writing the listing

    Part What to include
Title A short title that names the item.
Description The item’s exact name, quantity, game, platform, server, region, rarity and edition.
Images Up to 10 images that you took, made or have permission to use, showing the real item.
Quantity Your real stock. Set a minimum order if you don’t sell single units.
Restrictions Trade limits, cooldowns, region locks or anything the buyer must do to receive the item.

Don’t use ranges such as “10k–50k” unless the buyer gets the exact amount they pay for. Don’t use vague words like “maybe rare” or “random value”, or placeholder text.

    Stock

Only list stock you can deliver now. When your stock sells out, we let you know and buyers can’t order until you restock. Set a new quantity to sell again.

Listings need a stock confirmation every 30 days. See Keeping listings active.

    Delivering items

    1. Check the buyer’s details: username, character name, platform, server or trade details.
    2. Trade the full item and quantity before the guaranteed delivery time.
    3. Send proof in the order chat: a screenshot or video of the trade.
    4. Select Mark as Delivered once the whole order has been transferred.

If you’re out of stock or the buyer’s details don’t look right, write to the buyer in the order chat before you deliver. If you can’t deliver, select Cancel this order so the buyer is refunded.

    Disputes

Respond with your trade evidence before the deadline:

If you deliver the wrong item, can’t deliver or stop responding, the buyer is refunded. See Disputes for sellers.

What happens if you break these rules

Problem What our team can do
Misleading listings, fake images or false content Warn you, remove the listing and refund the buyer. If it happens again, pause your listings in that game or restrict your account.
Asking for payment outside PlayerBay Ban your account, even on the first offense.
Failed or wrong deliveries Refund the buyer. Repeated problems lead to paused listings or account restrictions.
  • Currency listing rules

Sell only in-game currency that was earned legitimately and can be traded through the game’s own systems. Deliver the full amount to the details the buyer gave at checkout, before the guaranteed time, and keep proof of every trade. Our team reviews currency listings and removes ones that break these rules.

These rules add to the seller rules, which apply to every category.

    What you can sell

In-game currency such as gold, coins, credits or silver that you can transfer with the game’s trade, mail, marketplace or other official systems. It must be obtained through normal play or legitimate trading.

    What isn’t allowed

    • Currency made with cheats, bots, exploits, duplication or unauthorized tools.
    • Stolen or fraudulently obtained currency.
    • Delivery methods that put the buyer’s game account at risk.
    • Asking for more money than the listed price.
    • Abandoning orders without a reason.
    • Asking for the buyer’s login in chat. If your delivery method needs it, the buyer enters it at checkout, where it’s sealed. Only you and our team can reveal it, and only while the order is open.

    Setting up the listing

    • Units: each game’s currency is sold in a set unit, such as K or M. Your price, stock and minimum order are all counted in that unit, and the form shows it next to the price.
    • Title: created for you from the game and currency.
    • One listing per setup: the sell form won’t create a second listing for the same currency with the same setup. Update the existing listing instead.
    • Delivery method: choose how you’ll hand over the currency, such as a trade, mail or the auction house. The methods offered depend on the game.
    • Stock: list only what you have now, and confirm it every 30 days. See Keeping listings active.

    Delivering currency

    1. Check the delivery details the buyer entered at checkout: character name, server, region or account ID.
    2. Transfer the full amount with the delivery method on your listing.
    3. Send proof in the order chat: trade window screenshots, the completed transaction or a video.
    4. Select Mark as Delivered once the buyer has received the full amount.
If the buyer asks you in chat to deliver to a different character or account, confirm the new details twice in the order chat before you send anything. If something seems wrong, don’t deliver: contact us or cancel the order.

    Disputes

Currency disputes are decided on proof of delivery, so send it as soon as a dispute opens:

Useful evidence: trade window screenshots showing the buyer’s character and the amount, transaction logs from the game, the buyer’s confirmation in chat, and video of the trade.

In a dispute you can offer the buyer a full refund. If you and the buyer agree on a partial refund instead, contact us with the amount you both agreed. Our team applies it. See Disputes for sellers.

What happens if you break these rules

Problem What our team can do
Many cancelled orders Warn you, then pause your listings or ban your account if it continues.
Fraudulent or unsafe currency Ban your account on the first offense.
Accessing or tampering with a buyer’s account Ban your account.
Asking for payment outside PlayerBay Ban your account on the first offense.
Missing or false proof of delivery Decide the dispute for the buyer, hold your payouts or restrict your account.
  • Account listing rules

Every account you sell must come with full, permanent access for the buyer, an accurate description and an answer to the Linked email question. You stay responsible for the accounts you sell, and you may never log in to, recover or change an account after the sale. Our team reviews account listings and removes ones that break these rules.

These rules add to the seller rules, which apply to every category.

    What you can sell

Only accounts the buyer can fully take over. The buyer must receive everything needed to sign in and secure the account: login, password, email access, and any recovery codes, security answers, backup codes or PINs.

    Not allowed:

    • Shared, rented, offline or limited-access accounts, and any account sold without full access.
    • Stolen, hacked or recovered accounts, or accounts obtained by fraud.
    • Accounts leveled or modified with cheats, bots, exploits or unauthorized software.
    • Accounts with offensive usernames.

    Linked email

Every account is sold with full email access. The sell form asks one required question, Linked email: which email is the buyer getting the login to?

    Answer What it means
The original email The email the account was registered with. You give the buyer its login.
A different email Not the email it was registered with. You give the buyer its login.
No email linked The buyer links their own email after purchase.

Buyers see your answer on the listing. You can’t publish an account listing without an answer. An older listing that never got one is paused, after reminders, until you answer it.

Use a well-known email provider, such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, AOL or Proton Mail. For any other provider, give the buyer a direct link to its sign-in page. A buyer who can’t get into the email has grounds for a dispute.

    Describing the account

Describe the exact account being sold. Include, where it applies:

    • Platform and version: PC, Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, or the game edition.
    • Region, when it affects access, matchmaking or content.
    • Linked platforms, such as Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation or Xbox.
    • Rank or level as it is now. If the rank has reset, list it as unranked.
    • Progress and inventory: skins, items, currency and unlocks.
    • Restrictions: bans, mutes, penalties, region locks or anything else that limits the account.

Don’t exaggerate, use vague ranges for key details, or add unrelated games and tags. Don’t promise a “lifetime warranty” or say you aren’t responsible after the sale.

    Rules for specific games

    Game What to include
Fortnite Every platform the account can be linked to; listing a platform guarantees it works there. If the email can’t be changed right away, say so and give full access to the linked email.
Valorant List it under the current season’s rank.
GTA V The platform (Epic Games, Rockstar, PC, PlayStation or Xbox) and the version (Enhanced or Legacy). FiveM accounts must say that GTA V is needed to play.
Old School RuneScape and RuneScape 3 All recovery information you have: recovery questions, original email, old passwords and membership payment methods. Disclose bans, offenses, mutes and botting history.
Call of Duty The title and the platforms that can be linked. Unlink logins you don’t need and give full access to the rest.
League of Legends List it under the current season’s rank and disclose offenses, penalties and chat restrictions.

    Several accounts in one listing

    • A listing can hold several accounts only if its title, description, attributes, photos and Linked email answer are true of every one. If the accounts differ, list them separately.
    • Don’t create several listings for the same kind of account. Add the accounts to one listing instead.
    • Each account is sold to one buyer, once. We warn you if an account you add is already in another of your listings or was sold before, and our team sees accounts listed more than once. Selling the same account twice is not allowed.

    Instant and manual delivery

    • Instant delivery: you add the accounts when you create the listing, and each buyer gets one as soon as they pay. Every account’s details must be correct and working when you list. The listing can’t be published without at least one account.
    • Manual delivery: you send the details in the order chat after the sale, before the guaranteed delivery time.

Login details are stored encrypted. Duplicating a listing never copies them. See Delivering an order.

    After the sale

Once an account is sold, never log in to it, recover it, change it or use its details, unless the buyer asks you for help in the order chat. This applies after protection ends and after a refund.

Recovering or taking back a sold account is never allowed. It leads to a permanent ban, and we hold your payouts while affected buyers are repaid.

Every account order includes free buyer protection, which starts when you deliver:

During protection, the buyer can open a dispute if they lose access, the account is banned or it doesn’t match the listing. After protection ends, our team can still reopen a dispute for the buyer, for example if the account is recovered. There’s no time limit: whenever we have proof that you recovered a sold account, we act on it, including holding your payouts.

Disputes you lose on accounts, especially ones opened days after delivery, also lower your place in search results. See How offer ranking works.

    Disputes

Respond with evidence or an offer before the deadline:

    • Help the buyer with login, email or recovery problems in the order chat.
    • Share evidence: delivery details, screenshots of the account, its history.
    • If the account can’t be fixed, offer a replacement or a refund.
    • Stay polite, even if the buyer is frustrated.

If an account came from a source you don’t trust, cancel or replace the order before the buyer has a problem. See Disputes for sellers.

What happens if you break these rules

Problem What our team can do
Misleading or false account details Remove the listing, refund the buyer and, if it happens again, pause your account listings.
No full access, or an instant-delivery listing with wrong details Refund the buyer, warn you and, if it happens again, ban you.
Recovering or accessing a sold account Permanent ban.
Stolen, hacked or illegally obtained accounts Permanent ban.
Refusing to help during a dispute Refund the buyer and restrict your account.

Yes, if you can give the buyer full access and you describe it accurately. You’re responsible for it like any other account you sell.

The listing is paused. Edit the listing and answer the question to turn it back on.

  • Disputes for sellers

A buyer can raise a dispute while they’re checking your delivery, and our support team can open one for them after the order is received. For instant-delivery accounts and gift cards, the buyer contacts you first and you get time to fix it. In a dispute, respond within the deadline for your product type: reply in the order chat with your proof, upload proof privately, or make an offer. If you don’t respond in time, our Dispute Team decides. Your earnings for the order stay on hold until it’s closed.

When a buyer can open a dispute

    • While the buyer checks your delivery: the buyer raises it from the order page.
    • Instant-delivery accounts and gift cards: the buyer contacts you first, and you get time to fix the problem before they can raise a dispute.
    • An order you haven’t delivered: once your guaranteed delivery time has passed, a buyer you’ve replied to can contact you with Order was not received. If you never delivered or replied, the buyer cancels instead.
    • After the order is received: only our support team can open a dispute, for a buyer who contacted us while the order was protected.

The buyer picks a reason. The reasons depend on the product:

Product Reasons the buyer can choose
Accounts Account login doesn’t work, Account was taken back, Order is not as described, Order is missing details, Other
Items, currency, top-ups Order was not received, Wrong amount delivered, Order is not as described, Delivered late, Other
Keys, gift cards Order was not received, Code doesn’t work, Wrong region, Other

The buyer’s message appears in the order chat, and we notify you by email and on the site.

When the buyer contacts you first

Your time starts when the buyer sends the request, and the order page counts it down. You can:

    • Reply in the order chat: explain what you delivered and add screenshots. Your first message counts as your reply.
    • Send replacement: new login details, the next account from the same listing, or another listing of yours. You can resend it to correct it until the buyer accepts.
    • Offer refund: the buyer chooses whether to accept and where the money goes. Once they accept, the order is cancelled and refunded.
    • Can’t fix this: tells the buyer straight away, so they can raise a dispute and our team can decide.

If you haven’t replied by halfway through your time, the buyer can raise a dispute early. If the buyer is happy, they close the request with Problem solved.

How long you have in a dispute

The order page shows your exact deadline, and we remind you before it passes. For currency and items, have proof of delivery ready: a screenshot or clip of the trade, mail or transfer.

How to respond to a dispute

Open the order from your sales. Any of these counts as your response, and you can use more than one:

    • Reply in the order chat with your proof. The buyer sees it.
    • Upload your proof: screenshots, a short clip or a PDF in the dispute’s private section, then Submit proof. Only PlayerBay sees it.
    • Offer refund: once per dispute; you can’t change or withdraw it.
    • Offer Replacement: for instant-delivery accounts, new login details, the next account from the same listing, or another listing of yours. You can resend it to correct it until the buyer accepts.

    Open your sales

If you don’t respond by the deadline, our Dispute Team decides without your side of the story.

    What happens next

    • The buyer accepts your offer: a refund cancels the order; a replacement is delivered and the order continues.
    • The buyer declines, or the offer window ends: our Dispute Team reviews the dispute and decides. You can’t send another offer in that dispute.
    • The buyer’s problem is fixed: they close the dispute with Problem solved, and the order is marked received.
    • You don’t respond in time: the dispute goes to our Dispute Team, which decides.

Our Dispute Team can side with you, refund the buyer in full, or refund part of the order. After a staff decision the order shows Order locked by staff, and neither side can act on it.

    Your earnings during a dispute

    • The order’s earnings are held while a request or dispute is open.
    • If the decision goes your way, the order is marked received and the earnings are released when its protection ends.
    • If the buyer accepts a replacement, the order continues from where it was, and the earnings follow the usual protection rules.
    • If the buyer is refunded in full, you aren’t paid for the order.
    • After a partial refund, your share shrinks by the same proportion and is held until protection ends.

Disputes you lose lower your offer ranking and can lead to a warning from our team. See When your earnings become available for the full rules on holds.

You can talk it through in the order chat. Only the buyer can close it, with Problem solved.

The sale is held while the chargeback is open, and no refund can be made on PlayerBay until it ends.

    Yes. The buyer chooses one.
